The Learning Disabilities and Homelessness Toolkit

Part of a new Practice Development Unit (PDU) online learning series where practitioners can develop their understanding of neurodivergence in the context of severe and multiple disadvantage (SMD). Our sixth session in this series will be led by Anna Tickle, Clinical Psychologist from Framework who led the development of the Learning Disabilities and Homelessness Toolkit and Emily Hill, Trainee Psychologist from Framework.

During this webinar we will examine the different learning disabilities criteria, how learning disabilities may present and the reasonable adjustments people can make.

We will also go through the Homelessness Toolkit which was developed to improve knowledge and understanding for those working in services to be able to recognise when someone may have a learning disability and how reasonable adjustments can be made to support with communication needs, daily activities and developing social and practical skills.

The toolkit is a starting point to enable good working practices in supporting people with learning disabilities as well as signposting to further information and resources.
