Understanding Neurodivergence in the Context of Multiple Disadvantage

Part of a new Practice Development Unit (PDU) online learning series where practitioners can develop their understanding of neurodivergence in the context of severe and multiple disadvantage (SMD).

Delivered by Caitlin Brooks, Senior Social Worker within Framework’s Street Outreach Service, this session will seek to provide clarity on the term neurodivergence and share insights into why neurodivergence is increasingly considered a form of multiple disadvantage.

She will explain why neurodivergent affirmative approaches are crucial for effective support and intervention when working with people who experience SMD. There will be opportunities in this session for attendees to ask questions and share reflections on this topic.
