Purpose of Role:
This role is to coordinate a brand new project that plans to provide refurbished laptop computers, smartphones and tablets to community groups and organisations that support vulnerable people.
This project is a partnership between Business in the Community, Nottingham City Council, Tech Nottingham, NCVS and voluntary groups.
It will be a fairly challenging role to steer this project and to work with a variety of partners, but your involvement is a key part of making this worthwhile project a success.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Your role will be one of the leaders of a team of IT recycling volunteers.
You will allocate machines to the volunteers to process in line with their technical training.
You will monitor the progress of each machine using resources from the project leader at Business in the Community.
You will have volunteering support from the Nottingham CVS Volunteer Centre, technical support from Tech Nottingham and overall project coordination from Business in the Community.
You will have the satisfaction of knowing that you have helped to provide IT support for some of the most vulnerable people in Nottingham.
You will be part of a team of volunteers from the business sector and the community sector working together to make a difference
You will be helping to prevent old computers going to landfill
You will allocate machines to the volunteers to process in line with their technical training.

You will need to be organised and thorough in your administration skills
You must be able to get on well with people from different backgrounds
