Purpose of Role:
Hope Nottingham is blessed with an already strong Board of Trustees with experience across general charity leadership, HR, and project management.
Our current Treasurer steps down shortly and we wish to recruit a new Treasurer with suitable qualifications and/or financial experience.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Help our well established and respected charity by :
Providing Financial oversight and Governance, ensuring our financial policies and procedures safeguard and build on our financial resources
Overseeing our annual budgeting, forecasting and regular reporting
Helping communicate our financial position and financial duties and responsibilities to the Board to assist with decision making
Supporting our fundraising including helping identify income streams
Supporting our Independent Annual audit and signing off our accounts
This role will be supported by our Chair and existing Assistant Treasurer,
as well as working closely with our CEO

Hope Nottingham began as a small drop in café with a dozen volunteers in 2010 and has now grown to encompass 14 foodbanks supporting communities across the Nottingham area, with main hubs in Beeston and Carlton, seeking to offer holistic and life-changing support for hundreds of people. Hope Nottingham holds the East and West Nottingham Trussell Trust Franchise and partners with various churches and organisations including Citizens Advice Bureau.

We are a Christian charity which welcomes those of any or no faith, but we do ask you to uphold our Vision, Mission and Values. As a Trustee you will be required to attend evening meetings at Beeston 7-9.30pm approximately 6x per year, with the Treasurer also attending finance sub-committee meetings online or in person quarterly.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
You should ideally hold a financial qualification and/or have experience in a Treasurer or Senior financial role
