ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Location: various locations across Nottingham
Role Overview:
As a Volunteer Run Leader at Runspire Nottingham, you'll play a vital role in guiding and supporting participants of all abilities, from beginners to more experienced runners. Your main focus will be on leading fun, inclusive, and motivating running sessions, such as Couch to 5K. You’ll be instrumental in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all participants, ensuring they feel empowered to reach their fitness goals.
What You’ll Do:
• Lead running sessions, including but not limited to Couch to 5K programs.
• Encourage and support participants of all fitness levels, ensuring everyone feels included.
• Motivate participants, helping them to achieve personal milestones and goals.
• Ensure safety throughout sessions by following best practices for injury prevention and maintaining group awareness.
• Adapt sessions to cater to various fitness levels and needs.
• Foster a friendly and supportive atmosphere where all participants feel welcome.
• Provide information and updates to participants regarding the session’s structure, goals, and any changes.
What We’re Looking For:
• A passion for running and helping others to achieve their fitness goals.
• A friendly, positive, and encouraging attitude.
• Good communication skills to engage with participants of varying abilities.
• A willingness to adapt running sessions to different fitness levels and needs.
• Ability to create a supportive environment, ensuring all participants feel motivated and safe.
• Previous experience in running is preferred, but not essential.

• LiRF (Leadership in Running Fitness) qualification or a willingness to complete this training (can be provided).
