Purpose of Role:
Nottingham Hospitals Charity are looking for people with a van who can pick up Christmas trees from around Nottingham and deliver them to our recycling centre.
We will be collecting trees from around Nottingham, between Tuesday 7th January and Sunday 12th January 2025 – you can help from half a day, to all six days – the choice is yours and it all helps.
Anytime between Tuesday 7th January to Sunday 12th January. Half days, full days or every day.
Last year we collected 1150 trees and raised over £16,000 to support the patients, families and staff at Nottingham’s NHS hospitals – we hope to continue to grow the scheme and collect more trees and raise even more money this year.
Collections will be from the following postcodes:
NG1, NG2, NG3, NG4, NG5, NG6, NG7, NG8, NG9, NG10, NG11, NG12, NG14, NG15, NG16, NG18
You may be able to choose which areas you collect from.

How does it work?
Supporters from eligible postcodes sign up online to have their tree collected and recycled, and are asked to make a minimum donation of £10. Volunteers collect the trees from outside the participant’s property and transport them to our recycling centre.
We provide a list of addresses and all the information you need in advance of the collections. It’s a fun day out after the excesses of the festive season and a great way to give back to your local NHS Charity!

We launched our Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme in 2020 and it is growing in popularity. Last year we collected 1150 trees and raised over £16,000 to support the patients, families and staff at Nottingham’s NHS hospitals – we hope to continue to grow the scheme and collect more trees and raise even more money this year.
