Purpose of Role:
As part of our non-emergency staff drivers service you will be helping to provide vital help for Nottingham's most in need new parents. Our family mentors are among the most friendly group of staff in the city care team. The role will be varied and will involve taking staff to residents homes across Nottingham city.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
ROLE: Volunteer Car Driver – The Toy Library
ROLE PURPOSE: Volunteer Car Drivers are required to transport Family Mentors to and from home visits as Part of the HIF Project by using their own vehicle from their home to the Room to Play Hub and return.
Collect, drop off and return Family Mentors from room to play to HIF clients residential addresses and return
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Volunteer and Employability Manager

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
1. Full UK driving licence with 6 points or less
2. Business vehicle insurance
(nearly all insurance companies offer this for free if you are volunteering)
3. Valid MOT certificate and Road tax
4. Good overall health
6. To be able to work using own initiative
7. Patience and empathy
8. Good communicator
Desirable
1. Experience of working with people
2. Awareness of health and safety
Working Pattern: The number of days and hours will be negotiated with applicant
Opening Days and Times:
Potential days and times to be agreed: Monday through to Friday 9.00am – 4.30pm
Driving times: 9am – 4.30pm tbc
