Purpose of Role:
Help guide a team of volunteers to set up a dining space and welcome guests into a free community meal!
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As a volunteer Hosting Project Leader you’ll act as the maître’ d of the team, running your Project’s front of house and helping to create a warm, friendly atmosphere that will make both volunteers and guests want to return each week. Your team of volunteers will lay the tables, greet guests, and serve the food – all under your guidance! You’ll be helping to build a resilient community through the sharing of delicious food and conversation, including reducing loneliness and contributing to improving the mental health and wellbeing of guests and volunteers
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
No experience needed, we provide full training and support during sessions. You will be asked to attend one or two sessions as a regular volunteer first to get used to the project before we progress your project leader training and you will be emailed a list of the differing tasks required to progress your project leader training. You will be supported as needed to complete the training and ensure you feel ready to lead your first session.

How long to complete training and recruitment?
Regular volunteer training takes 10 minutes when registering, Project Leader training varies depending on when each stage is completed by and when you feel confident to lead a session yourself but minimum 1 month to 3 months is expected.
