How many places are on offer?
Purpose of Role:
Do you have an interest in Wargaming, or perhaps are looking for an introduction to the hobby? We are looking for volunteers to help us at our regular Saturday club at Central Library between 10:00 am and 3:00 p.m.

We are looking for volunteers to help us establish this group as one of the central points for war game players to come together and share their love of the hobby. You will be assisted by like-minded staff and other wargaming enthusiasts in helping bring about a welcoming and accepting community.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
With Nottingham being the capital city of the world for the Wargaming hobby we are taking advantage of our location and seeking to kick start a healthy gaming environment that accommodates all games as well as all players of varied skill levels.

With more volunteers comes a wider array of skill sets, as there are so many games to play, a volunteer with knowledge of any would provide a great boost in terms of helping teach new games, bringing in a target audience for those games specifically as well as help with the painting aspects of the hobby.

With the games being usually between 1-3 hours in length ideally, any volunteer who is flexible and able to multi-task can help assist with various games as well as take part to promote a comfortable gaming atmosphere and encourage people to play.

What you will be doing

Help set up tables and chairs and get the space ready
Assist with the painting and gaming aspects of the hobby.
Share your love of the hobby
Helping teach new games

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The skills you need

Ability to play one or more of the many wargames that are commonly being played in Nottingham. This links well with any of the Games Workshop games, or Star Wars Legion, Bolt Action or any other popular wargame in Nottingham from it's many companies.

A friendly and approachable attitude, that is able to encourage communication between various players in order to get them playing games.

Assistance with painting / assembling of terrain and miniatures that have been donated and are being used to stock the wargaming clubs specifically.

Reliability, able to commit to at least 2 wargaming sessions a month with, attending a majority of one of our sessions. (Wargaming club is every Saturday between 10-3)

Flexible and able to multi-task can help assist with various games as well as take part to promote a comfortable gaming atmosphere and encourage people to play.
