Purpose of Role:
Come and be part of our fun and friendly team on the morning of Sunday 9 March 2025 in Nottingham city centre. This year's Nottingham 10K will start in Old Market Square and finish inside the grounds of Nottingham Castle. Help the runners to have a fantastic experience and help support countless good causes.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
It's thanks to our wonderful team of Eventeers (Event Volunteers) that we are able to put on events like the Nottingham 10K.

Our events simply could not happen without our Eventeers so, whether you are encouraging participants out on course as route marshal, manning a drink station whilst helping to refuel runners or offering support in the event village, you can be certain you’ll make a difference!

The impact of what you do is felt far beyond the start line on race day and we know so many will be grateful of your support and words of encouragement along the way.

Everyone is welcome to volunteer with us. As our name suggests our events are ‘For All’ and this is just the same when it comes to our Eventeers Team. We welcome individuals and groups to our events. All you need is lots of enthusiasm and a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and to enjoy working as part of a team.

You can choose from the following: -

• Race Office Marshals - hand out packs and be available to answer any questions
• Route Marshals - cheer runners on as they pass and help to maintain road closures
• Baggage Marshals - greet runners pre and post race to drop off and collect their bags
• Drink Station Marshals - set up and pack down drink stations and clear debris

Volunteering can be for everyone but we do ask that if you, your family or friends wish to join you on event day that they have registered with us to become an Eventeer in advance.

Roles will be allocated to you based on your role preference, age of a volunteer and where you live.

Enquire now via the NCVS website and get involved in the fun.

We do not offer volunteer expenses, however we do provide snacks for the day and a free race entry to a future Run For All event (excluding marathons) to all of our volunteers as a thank you!

Most volunteers are required between the hours of 7am and 11.30am, depending on role. The latest finishing time for your volunteering shift will be 1pm.
