Purpose of Role:
This interesting and flexible volunteer opportunity offers you a chance to be part of the team that organises and runs Nottinghamshire's Got Talent.
Whilst open to anyone and everyone who would like to take part, Nottinghamshire's Got Talent is particularly supportive of people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health conditions, visible disabilities and invisible disabilities which is why we are so passionate putting this amazing Talent competition on.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As treasurer, your role will be a key member of the committee. Although Nottinghamshire's got Talent has been going for a while, you are joining at an important moment to help to set up their systems.
You'll be part of a team of dedicated volunteers on the committee that meets regularly to plan for the contining success of the project.
Your role will intially be to support the organisation's founder and committee to set up and deliver the duties of a voluntary organisation's treasurer:
Income
1. To be a signatory to the Trust bank account and on-line banking
2. To receive donations and grants as cash and pay into bank account
3. To enter all income into the accounting system
4. Issue invoices for services and goods
Expenditure
1. Pay recurring expenses such as insurance, domain name registration, etc
2. Pay invoices for project costs, freelance workers etc
Accounts
1. Maintain accounts
2. Ensure entries are assigned to the correct budget heading
3. Reconcile accounts with bank statements
4. Submit annual accounts for examination
5. Prepare Treasurer’s Report for each committee meeting
6. Endeavour to provide a Cash Flow of our financial situation
We are not currently able to offer volunteer expenses

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
You don't need to be an accountant or a banker, although if you are that would be great. You just need to transfer the skills in managing your own household budget to this organisation.
