Purpose of Role:

Do you like to play board games? Would you like to volunteer to play games and meet new people? We are looking for a games afternoon volunteer for our weekly games afternoon.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The role is to attend our games afternoon on a Tuesday from 12.30-3.30pm. Duties will involve setting up the games in the room, welcoming people, making tea and coffee, joining in the games and helping those who don't know how to play or are struggling a little bit, chatting and general socialising with group members. We have a wide range of games available for people including scrabble, draughts, chess, othello, cards, dominoes and trivial pursuit.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

We are looking for people who are out going, good with older people, can play various board games including scrabble, chess, draughts, dominoes and cards. We want people who are friendly and enjoy talking with older people. The role will give you the chance to enhance your interpersonal skills as well as be of benefit to the local community.
