Purpose of Role:
Use your passion and skills for social media to support an active community of Arab women. They alreaday have hundreds of followers and would like your help to grow their network.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
You will contribute to the management of our social media channels, (Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram) You will work with us to create engaging content, connect with women who could benefit from
our support and with community groups, and expand our online presence. No prior experience necessary as training will be provided, but a knowledge of social media platforms is desirable.
If you can spare an hour or more a week, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable skills, contribute to our community, and be part of a friendly team.
As a Social Media Volunteer, you will be involved in:
Establishing and/or maintaining active social media accounts.
Researching and creating creative content for different social media channels.
Identifying opportunities to establish relationships with people and community groups.
Diversifying online presence by developing other potential social media channels.
Keeping up to date with Our Forefathers' activities and promoting this across the different
channels
Thinking of new ways to drive online engagement.
Identifying target audiences and being up to date with current trends.
You may wish to specialise in managing one social media channel or to take on several.
We are not able to meet volunteer expenses at this time.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
You do not need specific skills and experience as training about Empowerment for Heya will be provided, but the following will be useful:
Experience of using Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter or other social media.
Good written communication skills, with accuracy and good attention to detail.
Ability to think creatively when sharing content.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and motivated to work as an individual.
Ability to deal in a professional manner when communicating online.
Basic digital photography experience will be useful but not necessary.
Experience of using Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter or other social media.
