Purpose of Role:
Nottingham Arimathea Trust is in need of volunteers who can act as an interpreter for our clients when they have meetings with our staff members or with their solicitor.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Nottingham Arimathea Trust is in need of volunteers who can act as an interpreter for our clients when they have meetings with our staff members or with their solicitor.
The work will be fairly irregular as it will depend on when meetings are required an availability of both the interpreter and the client. It is essential that the client understands everything that has been said in meetings so the work of an volunteer who able to speak Farsi, Arabic, Amharic and Tigrinya is very valuable to NAT as an organisation.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential
- Fluent in English and languages like Farsi, Arabic, Amharic and Tigrinya
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Good interpersonal skills

- Interested in asylum and refugee issues
- Experiences of interpreting
