Purpose of Role:
By volunteering with us you’ll be helping to find positive solutions for the issues facing the countryside and the environment. By applying your skills and experience you can make a real difference and be a central part of a friendly and passionate charity.
Social media and website volunteers help us to engage supporters through adding regular online content about our activities and the subjects we’re passionate about.
We’re ideally looking for volunteers with some experience in writing for the web and technical skills in managing websites and social media channels.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
What you will be doing
Creating online content about our activities, achievements and interests
Using your creative flair to write website and social media content to encourage members, volunteers, donors and the public to engage with our activities
Updating website content and posting regularly on our social media channels
Tracking and improving our online reach
Optimising search results using key words and meta tags
Helping us to connect with other local CPREs and like-minded organisations
Responding to online enquiries
Liaising with the communications team at National CPRE

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The skills you need
An interest in the countryside and environmental issues
Good online writing skills with a friendly tone of voice and attention to detail
Some previous experience of maintaining a website and using social media channels – paid or voluntary
Good attention to detail and an eye for engaging web design
Happy carrying out tasks independently and as part of a team
Access to a computer and the internet at home and be comfortable using them
Be able to commit to volunteering regularly to suit your availability with occasional attendance at meetings
