Purpose of Role:
Support for Survivors Charity founded by our Managing Director, herself a survivor of non-recent child abuse. No services were available in 2014 to support male and female victims and survivors abused in their childhood, they may have suffered, sexual, emotional, physical, neglect, familial abuse. We are a National and Local award winning Charity acknowledged for peer support mental health and Innovation leaders within our field of expertise. Now we are working towards our National Sexual Violence Standards Assurance and we would like you to be a part of the next stage of our pathway ensuring we provide the best robust help, supporting some of our most abused and disadvantaged people in society. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive and meaningful impact, and you will be joining the charity during our exciting period of development, playing a key role shaping Support for Survivors Charity and future.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking Trustee's and various volunteer roles to support our much needed service throughout the East Midlands. You will be a part of a team of professionals providing a vital governance framework within which our charity operates. There is enormous scope and potential for you to be involved in the kind of work we do, which is enormously satisfying.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
A desire for finance, legal, governance framework, risk, safeguarding, have leadership skills, teamwork, good communication skills, handling difficult conversations, decision making, have relevant knowledge impacts on mental, physical health and wellbeing, possess empathy and compassion, be non-judgemental with a passion and commitment supporting our victims and survivors. You must support our vision, our values, aims and objectives.
