Purpose of Role:
As one of the our Volunteer Gardeners you will work with the grounds team and gardening staff to create beautiful features of planters, raised beds and other floral features at Nottingham Arboretum.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As one of our Arboretum Volunteer Gardeners you will work with the Gardeners and staff to create beautiful features of planters, raised beds and floral features at Nottingham Arboretum.

We are looking for enthusiastic people who want to make our parks more beautiful and blooming. This could include; • Hand weeding shrub and flower beds • Preparing the ground for planting • Planting new bedding plants • Deheading flowers as necessary • Staking plants as necessary • Watering plants • Edging of lawned areas

Our parks and open spaces have been a lifeline to residents during lockdown, to get out of their homes, exercise and enjoy the benefits that being in nature has for health and wellbeing.

Sessions are held on the third Wednesday of the month from 10am - 1pm approximately.

We need you to help us to beautify these spaces so they can continue to be places for citizens to relax and enjoy, so if you are interested in creating beautiful floral features at Nottingham Arboretum then you can apply now.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
