Purpose of Role:
The Volunteer Warehouse Assistant role at FareShare Midlands involves supporting the warehouse team in ensuring donated food is stored, sorted, and distributed efficiently and effectively. ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As a Volunteer Warehouse Assistant at FareShare Midlands, you will play a vital role in supporting the team in ensuring that all donated food is stored, sorted, and distributed efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for assisting with warehouse operations, including stock control, inventory management, and health and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Warehouse Manager and other members of the team in receiving, sorting, and storing donated food and essential items.
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock control.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
Use warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately, including delivery notes and inventory checklists.
Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in team meetings and training.

Time Commitment:
