Purpose of Role:
This opportunity is about more than bringing in money. It is about being at the heart of everything that Heya does to support Arab Women by ensuring that the organisation has the resources to deliver it's ambitious aims.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Every organisation needs to be able to meet its running costs and this is an important part of this volunteer role. However, Heya's work is:
- to break isolation
- empower all women
- to break the barriers down for women
- create a mutual interest
- to reduce hate crime
- reducing isolation by getting women together to take part in activities and making new friends

All this needs partnerships with other organisations in the voluntary, public, health and business sectors. Your role could include forging strong relationships across Nottingham to seek out resources such as speakers for events, meeting spaces.

You'll get outstanding support from Heya's founder and director as well as from other Heya volunteers.

We are currently unable to meet volunteer expenses, but we hope to do so as soon as funding permits.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
You don't have to be a stereotypical used car saleswoman, but you'll need confidence to engage with people from a wide range of organisations and backgrounds.
You'll be passionate about empowering women and will understand how vital your role is in making this happen.
IT skills
Good communication skills
If you are fairly fluent in spoken and written Arabic, this would be a huge advantage.
