Purpose of Role:
Can you harness your passion and creativity, and run an Instagram account for our charity shop. Or even get involved by helping to create content. If so, you will be helping raise vital funds to support Emmanuel House’s work with homeless and vulnerable people. This is a great opportunity to help a charity and gain great real world experience for your CV at the same time.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
• To raise awareness of the shop though regular posts, reels and stories
• To introduce QR codes
• To be as creative as possible
• To encourage and guide other shop volunteers in creating material for content.
• To promote our selling points of being local, independent, tackling homelessness.
• To respond to messages within 2 days.
• To make the shop more popular amongst students
• To monitor engagement and implement methods to increase the reach of the Instagram account
Commitment:
In person once a week, remotely most days. 3-4 hrs per week,

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Demonstrate communication and copywriting skills
• Have a friendly, positive attitude
• Follow Emmanuel House’s Brand Guidelines and tone of voice
• Remain professional in interactions with people who comment/message
• Stay up to date with Instagram marketing techniques
This role would suit somebody who has experience of promoting through social media, and/or someone doing a digital marketing (or digital marketing adjacent) course looking to gain real-world experience.
