Purpose of Role:
We are looking for CPL volunteers in the following libraries: Lowdham, Misterton, Rainworth, Gotham, Annesley, Collingham, Edgewood

Our Community Partnership Libraries (CPLs) are run on a day to day basis by volunteers with support from a local Library Manager. We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly and welcoming volunteers to join our CPL teams and help make a difference in their local community.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for CPL volunteers in the following libraries: Lowdham, Misterton, Rainworth, Gotham, Annesley, Collingham, Edgewood

Our Community Partnership Libraries (CPLs) are run on a day to day basis by volunteers with support from a local Library Manager. We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly and welcoming volunteers to join our CPL teams and help make a difference in their local community.

As a CPL volunteer, every day is different! Your key tasks include:
* Meeting and greeting library customers
* Helping customers find the resources they want
* Using our computer system to check out and return books
* Contacting Ask Inspire with customer enquiries
Re-shelving books and keeping the library safe and tidy
* Undertaking selected library routines like sending on rota stock
* Assisting with library events
* Helping to create library displays
* Promoting the library service in the community
* Opening and closing the library

At some of our CPLs, you might also help customers log on to computers, and handle small amounts of money for customers printing documents.

A CPL volunteer may also be a keyholder for the building, and help to create the volunteer rota.

All volunteers will be given training and go through an induction process. At Edgewood CPL, volunteers will also have a DBS safeguarding check
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Friendly, welcoming, reliable essential. An interest in books and reading is desirable
