Purpose of Role:
Headway Nottingham, requires trustees to join our friendly and committed Board. We would particularly welcome those with experience in finance, fundraising, IT, comms/PR and marketing. A small commitment of your time could make all the difference.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Headway Nottingham is looking to expand its Board and improve its skills base in order to continue delivering a high quality service to individuals affected by brain injury in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. As a member of the Board you will play a vital role and actively work with the trustee team, using your specialist knowledge and experience, to maintain and improve standards within our organisation. This will consist of a once monthly Tuesday evening meeting, and occasional sub-committee meetings as appropriate. We would like you to learn more about our area of expertise and be committed to our core values, aims and objectives. Acting as an ambassador for Headway Nottingham, we will expect you to do what you can to raise awareness about brain injury and its often long-lasting effects in order to raise our profile in the area and maximise Headway Nottingham’s enormous potential.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Trustees must be over 18
Available for evening meetings once per month (we meet on a Tuesday evening, every fourth month this will be an in person meeting in Old Basford, all others via Zoom) and occasional extra duties as appropriate.
Particularly looking for persons with experience and knowledge of finance, fundraising, IT, comms/PR and marketing.
Desirable:
Knowledge of third sector
Knowledge/awareness of the effects of brain injury
