Purpose of Role:
This is a customer service kind of role where you will be helping people who are visiting the Windmill site to have the best possible experience.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We expect our volunteers to provide excellent customer service to visitors so that they have a great experience and are keen to return.
Sneinton is a wonderfully multi-cultural area of the city and we expect volunteers to embrace this and encourage a wide range of people to feel welcome to the site.
Main duties:
A friendly welcome to visitors
Moving sacks of grains and flour
Basic cleaning of the windmill
Basic knowledge of mill machinery
Provide excellent customer service
Help Green's windmill to ensure good health and safety for vistitors,staff & volunteers

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
No previous experience needed.
We are looking for people with a love of local history and heritage to help our miller with all manner of tasks. The role will involve a lot of work around flour - overalls can be provided if required. Training and support will be given.

Green's Mill is situated on a hilltop 30 metres from the main car park off Windmill Lane. There are several flights of steps between the car park and windmill.
However, car and minibus parking is available for wheelchair users and visitors with mobility.
With the exception of the upper floors of the windmill, everything is at ground level. This role requires that you are able to access the upper floors, require access to the upper floors of the mill, so accessibility will be person-specific based on how they manage with steep steps.
