Enjoy your experience of volunteering at the UK's only city-based windmill and exciting Science Centre! Meet new people, build your confidence and generate enthusiasm for the site with educational activities and memorable events.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
# Developing memorable events and educational activities suitable to the themes of the site: - such as science, heritage, environment, art & maths - that will be engaging, accessible and suitable for our audiences while encouraging new audiences.
# Delivering the events and activities with creativity and enthusiasm!
# Encouraging people to attend events and activities through word-of-mouth and by promotion/enthusiasm.
# Basic cleaning of museum areas to make things look presentable, especially after an event or activity.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
No previous experience is needed for this role. We will make the most of your individual skills and experience. Volunteers will be given a full induction to Green's Windmill, along with training and support, to carry out the role.

Green's Mill is situated on a hilltop 30 metres from the main car park off Windmill Lane. There are several flights of steps between the car park and windmill.
However, car and minibus parking is available for wheelchair users and visitors with mobility.
With the exception of the upper floors of the windmill, everything is at ground level.
