Purpose of Role:
The Foodbank receive regular donations and needs people to put this into storage and then pick and pack food parcels, this requires a physically fit person with the ability to lift 20Kgs.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Warehouse/Stock Control
The Foodbank receive regular donations and needs people to put this into storage and then pick and pack food parcels, this requires a physically fit person with the ability to lift 20Kgs. Working in a small friendly team 1- 2 days a week. This could be split between 2 volunteers.
Volunteers’ role to include:
• Stock Control
• Moving stock into storage
• Picking and Packing food parcels
Volunteer will show a commitment to:
• The aims of the Food Bank.
• Good Teamwork
• Physically fit and able to lift 20Kgs
• Confidentiality
• Good Communication Skills
Volunteer’s travel costs will be covered/reimbursed when travelling to and from activities for the food bank.
Availability:
Volunteers will be asked to complete a minimum of 3.5 and or a maximum 7.5 hours a week volunteering Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm.
Training:
Training will be provided to all volunteers to ensure they are fully prepared for their role. Volunteers will be required to attend induction training sessions.
