Purpose of Role:
Opportunity for 13 to 18 year old volunteers, from UK & Hong Kong to take part in a residential adventure weekend.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The Fusion Welcome Project aims to welcome the new arrivals from Hong Kong into our community in Nottingham.
At Transform Training, we specialise in working with young people and as part of this project, it’s our job to welcome young people arriving from Hong Kong by offering the opportunity to meet new people and take part in fun and exciting opportunities.
As part of this, we have arranged a Fusion Welcome Youth Camp on the weekend of the 13th – 15th May 2022. The residential camp will take place at the Hollowford Lindley Centre in Castleton, Derbyshire.
The residential weekend is for both young people from Hong Kong and the UK, to give them the opportunity to share experiences, stories and culture.
In terms of activities, the weekend will consist of the exciting, adventurous outdoor activities that the center has to offer, mixed with team building and opportunities to get to know the other young people attending the camp.
All food, travel and refreshments are provided, and as part of our funding from the Department of Levelling Up and Communities, there is no fee for this camp. This opportunity is available for young people between the ages of 13 and 18.
If your child is interested in attending this residential opportunity and you would like to find out more, please book onto our Information and Sign Up evening on Tuesday 3rd May at 6.30pm to find out specifics and have the opportunity to sign up. We will be providing all information on travel, food and specific schedules during this event.
