How many places are on offer?
Purpose of Role:
You will coordinate current and new engagement initiatives, work
collaboratively with the trustees and partners locally to raise awareness of CPRE and give voice to those who may not have previously engaged with the work of CPRE
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
You’ll help us to achieve our vision by attracting new volunteers and increasing the diversity of engagement opportunities we offer. Understanding the needs of communities and volunteers is an important part of this role. Previous experience in networking, supporting and coordinating groups of people (whether in a paid or voluntary capacity) is of benefit but not essential

What you will be doing

Establish contact with partners and build relationships with local organisations across different sectors
Help to extend the charity’s reach and impact through supporting, attending and running a variety of events and activities to engage our supporters and the general public
Contribute content and ideas for CPRE’s external communications eg newsletters, website, social media
Support collaboration across local wellbeing projects and peer support networks, to promote the role of CPRE in encouraging people to actively manage their wellbeing
Help ensure that people living in the locality are aware, encouraged, and have access to a variety of engagement activities
Maintain a database of community connections and collaborations and seek to grow the CPRE network locally

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
An interest in the countryside and environmental issues
Preferably some involvement or experience in community projects or community development work
Ability to motivate, engage and to get people involved
A friendly, flexible approach and an ability to relate to people from different backgrounds
Good organisational skills and confidence to use online systems including use of the internet at home
Happy carrying out tasks independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Be able to commit to volunteering regularly to suit your availability with occasional attendance at meetings
