Purpose of Role:
This important volunteer role will support Himmah, a grass roots community-based initiative tackling poverty, mental wellbeing, racism and social exclusion in Nottingham.
We do this through direct service provision, campaigning, arts, and education work always in collaboration with individuals, communities and organisations.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
You will be promoting the broad - and increasing - range of services offered by Himmah by updating our social media channels on a regular basis.
In addition, you will:
Encourage people to like, comment and share your posts
Grow our reach by creating engaging and interesting content
Create and post stories, pictures and videos
In order to do this, you will have to spend some time at Himmah's base in Forest Fields, but your regular posts can be uploaded from home or another location.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
An understanding of social media
- To be able to communicate effectively, be articulate, with strong writing skills and the ability to feedback accurately
- Able to transform small snippets of information into interesting and engaging stories suitable for Twitter, Facebook etc
- Have a good understanding of confidentiality
- The ability to work equally well in a team as well as unsupervised at home
