What is the Nottingham Voluntary Sector Provider Network?
Nottingham Voluntary Sector Provider Network is the new, combined name for the Children and Young People's Providers Network (CYPPN) and Vulnerable Adults' Providers Network (VAPN), which used to meet separately.
The two networks (CYPPN and VAPN) had been meeting jointly online for some time, so they've now merged with a refreshed identity, to indicate that all voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) partners are welcome.
For admin purposes, we’ll continue to maintain an understanding of members' primary interest in either children and young people, adults, or all age groups - should there be a need to separate or target information in future.
Who can join the network?
We have an open membership; there isn't a formal membership process or application.
Membership is open to any community and voluntary organisation providing services or support in Nottingham. Your organisation needn't be based in the City but you must be providing services to people who do live within Nottingham City boundaries (and/or immediate surrounding areas).
We recognise the importance of partnerships beyond VCSE organisations, which means public/other sector partners will occasionally attend meetings and receive information from the network for mutual benefit. However, the primary aim of the network is to provide a space for VCSE organisations to come together to learn, share and collaborate, and ultimately create opportunities to strengthen the VCSE sector in Nottingham.
We politely ask meeting attendees who are not currently part of a voluntary, community or social enterprise organisation in Nottingham to respect the purpose of the network. Various other multi-sector forum opportunities are available locally, and we can signpost to these on request.

Do I have to attend all the meetings?
We know how busy organisations are so you don’t have to attend every meeting. The meetings are for information sharing and discussion. We don't record the sessions, helping to encourage open expression in a live environment. We do, however, make sure that everyone on the network mailing list receives key information and action notes after each meeting, including speaker presentations.
Any representative from your organisation is welcome to attend, and multiple members of your team can attend the same meeting if they would like to.
We ask all participants to register individually for each session so we can plan appropriately and keep an accurate record of attendance. Registration for each meeting is via a short online form (active links are above). Only registered individuals will receive the Zoom link to join any particular meeting.
What are the benefits of attending?
As a network member you will receive regular information on consultations, events and training. You will be made aware of services that are being commissioned in the local area and how you can access opportunities for your organisation.
By attending our online meetings you will have the opportunity to hear directly from other VCSE organisations, share experiences, and consider opportunities for partnership and collaboration.
By participating in the network you can ensure that your voice is heard, not only in Nottingham, but also by contributing to regional and national agendas and policy developments.
How can I get on the mailing list?
We maintain an email mailing list to keep you informed about the quarterly meetings.
By registering to attend one of the meeting sessions listed above, you will automatically be added to the Nottingham Voluntary Sector Provider Network mailing list, and you will receive information about how to participate.
If you have any issues registering for a meeting, are unable to make our scheduled dates but would like to join the list, or have any other queries about the network, please email ncvs@nottinghamcvs.co.uk
Data privacy:
By choosing to be part of the network, your details will be stored in a list on the NCVS database, and will remain on our systems until you tell us you no longer wish to be part of the network. Your data will not be shared outside of NCVS.
NCVS sends emails (from the email address ncvs@nottinghamcvs.co.uk) relevant to the activities of this network and its quarterly meetings. Very occasionally we send special interim e-bulletins where we believe the information has key significance for the local voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, and to avoid missing important deadlines.
In order to monitor the effectiveness of our communications, we gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies.
You have the right to ask for access to any of the personal information that NCVS holds about you.
You may update your mailing list subscription information and unsubscribe at any time by clicking a link within each email communication.
