The Hedley Foundation

There are multiple deadlines throughout the year

The Hedley Foundation has grants of up to £5,000 for UK-registered charities with an annual turnover of less than £1 million that are dedicated to improving lives. Larger grants may be awarded to charities capable of achieving a significant impact.

Projects can fall into the following categories:

  • Youth Support
Projects that help disadvantaged young people reach their potential through sport, education, arts, training, and employment. Initiatives also aim to reduce anti-social behavior and prevent involvement with the Criminal Justice System.

  • Disabled Support
Projects to improve the quality of life of people of all ages with physical and mental disabilities, sensory impairment and learning difficulties.

  • Supporting the elderly and terminally ill
Projects to help elderly people to maintain a level of independence and projects to support those in the closing stage of life, in hospices or hospitals.

  • Miscellaneous support
Projects to support carers, homeless people, ex-offenders and those about to leave custody.

The Foundation is unable to support applications from Community Interest Companies (CICs), religious institutions, museums, or individuals. Core salaries, building construction, general running costs, transport, financial deficits, and overseas projects cannot be funded by the grant.
