Chris makes his return to NCVS to take on the role of Social Enterprise Development Coordinator and feels right at home. With his experience as a Specialist Advisor for social entrepreneurs/enterprises and leading the 2019/20 NCVS Social Enterprise Support Programme, he's now partnering with Nottingham Trent University to expand support again in Nottingham.
The project, Social Enterprise Accelerator, will provide a comprehensive package of support to both established organisations and aspiring entrepreneurs in Nottingham looking to kickstart new ventures or spin-out Voluntary and Community Social Enterprises (VCSEs). The support will include training on a number of key topics and themes, as well as one-to-one support, small funding programmes and supporting VCSEs to access social investment.
The Social Enterprise Accelerator will facilitate the start-up of new social enterprises as well as grow existing social enterprises, increasing the size of the social economy and creating more jobs in Nottingham.
The project will formally launch in June, however, if you wish to register your interest in the new programme, please contact Chris Hill at chrish@nottinghamcvs.co.uk.
We’re pleased to welcome Chris back to the NCVS team, especially as he’s well known for brewing a great cuppa!
You can meet Chris at a special launch event for the Social Enterprise Accelerator on Tuesday 4 June 2024, 10 am to 12 noon, at New Art Exchange, 39-41 Gregory Boulevard, NG7 6BE. Register your interest by emailing vcseobservatory@ntu.ac.uk before Thursday 30 May 2024.
Social Enterprise Accelerator is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). It is a collaborative partnership between Nottingham Trent University’s (NTU) National VCSE Data and Insights Observatory and Nottingham Community and Voluntary Service (NCVS).
