Public Health Small Grants funding of up to £1,000 is available for community groups. organisations and volunteers who work in Nottingham City to improve the health and wellbeing of local communities.
They will prioritize initiatives that aim to reduce unjust and preventable health disparities for residents of Nottingham City.
Their primary goals include:
- Reducing smoking
- Promoting healthy eating and physical activity
- Supporting individuals with Severe Multiple Disadvantages
- Enhancing financial wellbeing
- Improving mental health
Given the impact of the cost-of-living crisis, they particularly welcome applications that promote healthy and affordable eating.
Some examples of legitimate expenses are:
- Rent and venue hire (for this project only).
- Production of project promotional materials.
- Staffing costs, where appropriate.
- Travel and parking for staff and volunteers delivering activities (specified in pence per mile).
- Incentives to draw participants to sessions.
