An exciting new opportunity has emerged for young individuals aged 16 to 25 who have experience with the care system or have engaged with a social worker. This opportunity also extends to parents and carers, including kinship, foster, and adoptive parents, who have utilised family support services.
The Experts by Experience Panel is a national initiative designed to collaborate with Foundations to influence their efforts in creating positive changes for children and families. This panel offers a paid position, compensating all members at the national living wage rate for their time and the invaluable insights derived from their lived experiences.
Panel Members Will:
- Collaborate with professionals from Foundations to offer advice and ideas based on their personal experiences.
- Contribute to improving support for children and families by working with Foundations to identify effective practices.
- Co-produce communications and projects with Foundations, ensuring they reflect the needs and voices of children and families.
- Receive opportunities for personal development, including skills training and gaining valuable experience.
Panel members will participate in a mix of in-person and online meetings and will benefit from individual personal development opportunities. The project is particularly interested in hearing from Black, Asian, and minoritised ethnic young people, parents, and carers to ensure diverse voices are represented.
