Nottingham City Council Budget Consultation 2023-2024

Nottingham City Council’s Executive Board is considering a set of new saving and income proposals to deliver £29million towards balancing Nottingham City Council’s budget for 2023-2024. There are a number of ways you can make your voice heard.

One Nottingham is inviting voluntary, community and faith organisations and other One Nottingham partners to an in person engagement event and discussion on Nottingham City Council’s budget proposals for 2023-2024.

The event is taking place on Friday 13 January 2023, from 1.30pm to 2.30pm, in the Ground Floor Committee Room, Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham NG2 3NG. Refreshments will be available, as well as the opportunity to network with other partners after the meeting. If you would like to attend, please register your place via this Eventbrite link.

This event will give you the opportunity to hear from the council about the proposals and to have the chance to feedback comments, views and alternative ideas. The event is open to all partners, so please do circulate information to your networks.

In recent years, NCVS had hosted a joint event with One Nottingham to ensure that voluntary and community sector partners have a range of opportunities to engage with the proposals. The consultation period this year is quite tight - proposals were announced publicly on 20 December 2022. So, we were unable to commit to host this time.

We encourage you to participate in One Nottingham's event on 13 January, which is going ahead with our backing. Or you can view the full engagement calendar of events on the Nottingham City Council website. There is a mixture of in person and online events. There is also an online survey.

What are the proposals?

Further information on the budget is available on the Nottingham City Council website, including details of where to get translations or paper copies of the proposals.

An online consultation survey will remain open until Wednesday 25 January 2023 and feedback will be communicated at Full Council in March 2023. The survey can be accessed from the link above.
