The Breakaway Futures programme has funded places available until November 2023 for anyone who is unemployed, over the age of 16 and lives within the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) area which includes Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
Breakaway Futures is run by local charity Transform Training which specialises in emotional education supporting participants' emotional literacy and resilience to grow.
The course aims to develop participants confidence and help them set a plan for the future, attendees do not need to be in receipt of benefits to join. It will cover individual and programme-specific goal setting, conflict resolution in the workplace, identifying your strengths and your role within a team, budgeting, interview skills, wellbeing and achieving a work/life balance and identifying next steps.
During the first lockdown, Transform Training was able to deliver this course via Zoom and have since been able to deliver it face-to-face as a support group. A venue for face-to-face delivery is dependent on the locations of individual participants, as well as current government restrictions.
To sign up to the programme, participants will need a National Insurance number, proof of unemployment and a passport or UK/EU birth certificate.
Referrals and self-referrals for the programme can be done via the following link.
