The B&Q Foundation has funding of £10,000 for internal projects and £5,000 for garden projects available for charities only who are supporting people in need in the UK—those experiencing homelessness, financial hardship, impacted by health, disability, or other disadvantage or distress.
The B&Q Foundation is looking to fund projects that decorate, renovate or create spaces where people can feel at home and have a sense of belonging and will prioritise projects where it will contribute in excess of 25% of the total project cost. Eligible organisations must be a registered charity in the UK (unfortunately CICs & unregistered community groups are not eligible for this funding).
The fund cannot be used to support:
- Contributions to general appeals or circulars.
- Religious activity which is not for the wider public benefit.
- Public bodies to carry out their statutory obligations.
- Activities that solely support animal welfare.
- Activities that have already taken place.
- Privately owned and profit-distributing companies or limited partnerships.
- Projects to improve office facilities unless they are for dual purpose where beneficiaries make use of the space.
