Training Sessions
In the previous round of small grants, there was a lot of missing information and misinterpretation of what the fund could be used for. These funded sessions are to support and advise you. The sessions will be delivered by James Kirkpatrick from Funding Support who has over 25 years of experience with the grant process.
There will be two training sessions held by an external trainer to support you in making an application. Part of the criteria is that those submitting an application are to attend one of the training sessions. Both training sessions will take place at Byron House, 2A Maid Marion Way, Nottingham, NG1 6HS. These will be followed by one-to-one sessions to discuss your particular application in more detail with the trainer; you will have the opportunity to book one-to-one appointments at the training sessions.
Sessions will be held on:
- Tuesday 3 December 2024, 9.30am to 12.15pm
- Thursday 5 December 2024, 12.45pm to 3pm
The 30-minute one-on-one sessions can be booked at the above training events; one-on-one sessions will take place on Tuesday 10 and Thursday 12 December 2024. To book a place, please email community.cohesion@nottinghamcity.gov.uk.
The above sessions will support you to review the priorities for the programme, help you understand these, and inform you about what the programme can and cannot support. This will help you to develop your project and application, ensuring that you meet the criteria for the programme, as well as helping you to think about the evidence needed for your work in supporting asylum seekers in Nottingham. The sessions will also help you to think about your organisation and what you need to have in place and provide as part of your application.
