The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust has opened its Refurbishment Grants Programme for organisations assisting veterans with housing. Grants of up to £75,000 are available for registered charities and registered social housing providers that can show it works with veterans. The grant will provide capital funding for refurbishment projects that will last up to one year. The funder appreciates that most requests will be for amounts under £40,000.
Themes and priorities for the funder are:
- Refurbishments of existing affordable homes for rent to veterans.
- Refurbishments of sites that increase the availability of veteran housing.
- Ensure properties meet decent homes and energy efficiency standards.
It is recommended that applicants show how their project will contribute to the aims of the government's ambition to reduce veteran homelessness and end rough sleeping, who you would work with to deliver the project and how the benefits of the work would contribute to the overall aims of this programme.
