Introduction to Health & Safety and Risk Assessments

This online training will teach you the basics of health and safety, and explain the process of carrying out a risk assessment in your organisation.

 

Who is this training for?

Trustees, paid members of staff, volunteers, or anyone who’s wanting to develop a basic understanding of health and safety, including risk assessments.

What will I learn from this training?

After attending this training, you’ll:

  • Understand what health and safety is
  • Understand why health and safety is important
  • Understand the basics of a risk assessment
  • Be able to identify potential or real risks in a situation
  • Be able to confidently complete a risk assessment in your organisation
     

Who will be delivering this training?

David Saunders, Group Development Officer (Training) at NCVS, who has been delivering training and support to VCSE sector groups and organisations for over 15 years.

How will this training be delivered?

This training will be delivered online via Zoom. It’ll be interactive and may use various tools and training methods, which the trainer will support you with using. To get the most out of this training, please make sure you have a stable internet connection, working camera and microphone, and a quiet space to join us from.
