Purpose of Role:
To support the Woodland Manager in managing our community wood and all associated activities from this work.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
• This will include assisting with the day-to-day management and maintenance of the woods,
• including site checks,
• tree felling,
• ground maintenance,
• repairs and building of fencing, pathways etc.
• To contribute to providing and promoting nature and environment-based play opportunities and activities and community events, within a community and environmentally friendly approach.

Volunteer’s travel costs will be covered/reimbursed when traveling to and from activities for SSBC in Bulwell
Time Commitment:
Volunteers will be asked to complete a minimum of 3 hours a week volunteering. Monday-Friday between 9am-4pm. As this role will be developing relationships with our families it is expected a minimum of 6 months commitment is needed.
Training:
Training will be provided to all volunteers to ensure they are fully prepared for their role. Volunteers will be required to attend induction training sessions.
- Induction Training includes Introductions to the Toy Library Bulwell Nottingham and SSBC programme, Safeguarding, Health & Safety and completing expenses forms.
- Additional Training – First Aid. Others as required
