Please note the short window for applications and for use of funds. You are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Applications open on Monday 31 January 2022 and will be considered on a rolling basis as they are received. The fund will close no later than 25 February 2022, but this may be sooner if all funding is allocated. BBC Children in Need has been selected to distribute phase 1 of this funding on behalf of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). All funding awarded needs to be spent by 31 March 2022. Funding is for small-scale capital projects which create or expand youth provision services in 'left-behind' areas. All wards in Nottingham city are eligible. Please check the website for Nottinghamshire county areas. A wide range of community organisations, schools and Local Authorities which provide youth services can apply for grants of £5,000 to £50,000 for building improvements, purchasing equipment and furnishings. Groups should be undertaking work with children and young people, where the majority are aged 11 to 19 years. Where young people have a special educational need, are leaving care, or are considered 'at risk' or vulnerable, funding may be granted up to the age of 25 years.
