Congratulations to Clare Bull, who set off cycling from Land's End on Tuesday 14 September 2021 and 11.5 days and 1,020 miles later reached John O’Groats! Claire is the founder of Growing Forward CIC, a social and therapeutic horticulture project based in community gardens in Bobbers Mill and Clifton. Through sponsorship, Clare has to date raised over £3,400 to help support people in Nottingham who are experiencing anxiety, depression and loneliness. “Money donated through the sponsorship will make a big difference,” explained Clare, a clinical counsellor and qualified social and therapeutic horticulture practitioner who runs Growing Forward with Vic Stevens. “It will help us to set up a dedicated and specialised garden, to deliver therapeutic sessions by trained practitioners, and buy recycled bikes from Nottingham Bikeworks, so that clients can independently travel to the garden." It’s not too late to show Clare your support by making a donation, or sending your congratulations. |
