Who is this training for?
Trustees (or board members/committee members) of organisations whose activities involve contact with vulnerable adults or children, who need an introduction to safeguarding or refresher training.
What will I learn from this training?
Safeguarding responsibilities should be a governance priority. As a trustee, you have a duty of care to those involved in, or affected by, your organisation’s activities.
During this training, you’ll learn:
- The Charity Commission’s expectations of trustees, in relation to safeguarding
- Your role in safeguarding, as a trustee
- The reasonable steps to protect those who are accessing your organisation’s services from harm
You’ll be issued a certificate of attendance following the completion of this training.

The Toy Library, who deliver this training in partnership with Nottingham CVS.
How will this training be delivered?
This training will be delivered online via Zoom. It’ll be interactive and may use various tools and training methods, which the trainer will support you with using. To get the most out of this training, please make sure you have a stable internet connection, working camera and microphone, and a quiet space to join us from.
